Friday..... involved more job hunting. Again no success, I didn't even find one place that was actually hiring. This wouldn't be so bad, but JP has now received a call asking him if he wants to work in a second store that he applied for, two jobs in less than two weeks... bastard. But then he is applying to work in Game stores, which is were he worked as a manager for years in the UK! Why did I waste my time with an office job! Friday night was uneventful, I went for another swim at my beloved outdoor pool. The weather was shitting spectacular as ever, and I felt a lot more upbeat after that. Me and JP also found an Awesome American style diner on Grandsville street. All the food is homemade and tastes cracking. I had a Vegan Chili, which was really nice. JP has decided to wants to make it his local, I tried to explain that people going to the same place every other night only happens on sit-coms and soaps because they can't afford more than one set, but he wasn't having any of it. I don't job hunt on weekends to stop me going mad, so on Saturday me and JP went and watched the new Transformers film. Its pretty bad. Its aimed at kids, none of the new characters are ever introduced, not that it matters because you won't care about any of them..... I could go on! When I got back I read some more War of the worlds (its a cracking book, set in 1920 something unlike any of the films. The alien technology is.... dated, but that makes it all the better). That evening me and JP met up with Rosie, Chloe and there new Australian house mate Maddie. It was a pretty good evening, we went back to the awesome diner and ate some food, before going to the speakeasy and drinking. Its the first time in 3 weeks that I can say I've done a solid bit of binge drinking. Rosie and Maddie got insanly plastered and explained the current lady politics of there house, the three of them are hilarous. It was a good night! On the way home an old homeless guy walked past us and said "Remember, Gentlemen. Women are the work of the Devil" he had a really gravily voice, and when he said it you could tell he really ment it. I replied with a drunken 'Amen', but he didn't want to chat, he ran off, he had to spread the word! Today I've been resting. I know it probably sounds like I've had things easy over here, but being unemployed has been pretty stressful, and I must walk miles every day handing out Resumes and chatting to people. Its nackering. I had to change hostel Again today as the other hostel ran out of places, which means I've got to move back to the other hostel tommorow. Grrr....
Todays blog title was bought to you by Alexisonfire, and the lyrics of the new album 'Old Crows Young Cardinals.' Listen to it, its a grower!
I'm also aware that my latest exploits probably don't make very exciting reading, but hopefully things will pick up once I've got a job, or decided I won't get one and start budget traveling. Then I'll be back to my traditional adventures.
