OK, so since Tuesday things have been a little depressing. I found one bar that seemed slightly interested in my Resume on Wednesday and found someone who said he was willing to give me a test run as a bus boy (table clearer and washer upper) but that he might have already found all of the people he needed, and to check back with him today. Yesterday I found a coffee shop who seemed fairly interested in my Resume as well.... but still no phone calls from anyone, and when I spoke to the guy today about busboy work, he said he had all the staff he needed, and he wouldn't need me after all, its all a little frustrating. Also its just me and JP left in the Hostel now, Victoria had sorted a place to live and work before she came to Canada, so she has gone. Also Rosie and Chloe have moved to another Hostel after all of the girls beds became full in ours. We invited them out for a drink last night, but got no response. Me and JP ended up down Grandville street (the street thats similar to Camden) and had four pints last night. I honestly don't know what I'm going to do for the wrest of the weekend. I can't really job hunt, I might go and have a look around North Vancouver. I know I've got to try and be more confident when I'm asking for work in shops and bars. Over here people are a lot more upbeat and confident compared to most Brits, let alone me. So I've gotta start really trying as opposed to my current smile hand it over and answer any questions. I've gotta start asking some as well and try and make a joke or two.... this is gunna be harder than I thought.
On a lighter not I got a free piece of Salmon from some American fisherman who were staying in the Hostel on Thursday, they had cooked the entire thing and were just giving bits away to anyone who passed them. Had a chat with them as well, there the type of people who could talk to anyone as long as it was about fishing, if you had asked them about if there a god or something they would have probably got quiet.
