Aaaaand I''m back in the room.

I'm feeling a lot more with it today, but 11 hours of sleep would do that for anyone. I woke up at 9 and just made breakfast. I thought about doing some solid research into getting a job, but decided to take the day off and have a mooch round Vancouver instead. Weather in the morning was pretty bad, a bit of rain, and slightly overcast, but still warm. I walked down to Stanley park and walked round the sea wall. Its bloody amazing. Sheer cliffs, trees that must be hundreds of years old, mountains in the background, and all of its 5 minutes from downtown Vancouver. After getting lost trying to find a 'lagoon' (it turned out to be more like a duck pond) I decided to head back to the Hostel to get my swimming kit and go for a swim in the outdoor pool as the weather had changed from overcast to shitting amazing. It must have been around 25 centigrade. When I got back to the hostel one of the guys from the BUNAC (the company you have to use to get the 1 year Visa) group flight turned out to be my new room mate, he's a nice guy, quite similar to me, was stuck in a crappy office job that he didnt' even really agree with, not sure what he wants from life, and had to commintments so decided to head to the other side of the planet. He was meeting up with a coulple of other girls who were also on the same flight to have a look round the area. They turned out to be Rosie (who I had spoken to on facebook) and someone else who's name I still can't remember (sorry). I showed them round the area, we found the lagoon as well. Then went and bought some food. Amazingly the kitchen doens't have an oven, so I had to microwave the pizza. So a bloody lovely day, but got serious shit to sort tommorow, got to go to a meeting on getting work, sort a bank account and mobile phone.
