Not as back in the room as I first thought.

I'm still feeling a little bit jet lagged. Its feels like someone has stuffed cotton wool into my brain, I nearly got run over yesterday because I wasn't concentrating and just not havn't got a clue what directions cars are meant to be coming from. Went to the SWAP meeting yesterday, which was really useful. It just told us were we might want to rent, what kind of jobs were available, etc. We also got a free condom, to ensure we don't infect the locals with our dirty foreign deseases. Which was nice. I spent the afternoon turning my CV into a Resume (which I'm ment to be working on now), this involves removing all of the self congraulatory bull shit, and sticking to facts, which is good because I've never been that good and that bit anyway. We've been trying to work out which bank account is best, but ended up going for HSBC because it was easiest, the same might happen with the mobile phone contract. You don't realise how easy we have things in the UK when it comes to mobiles and banking. Banks charge for every transaction over here including putting money into your own account! and the most you can take out is $100 a day, which is about 60 pound, you need more than that for a good solid binge drink in the UK.

Anyway enough of the serious stuff, I had a good night out last night as well. Me and JP decided to take the evening off and go have a drink, and Rosie and her friend joined us a bit later. We had a pint and cocktail which came to about 4 pounds each (still not sure if thats because we were in a nice bar by the waterfront or if everything is that expesive here) then had a walk around Stanley park as the sun set, watched a magician, bumped into the cursed German room mate who refuses to be friends, and generally chatted. It was bloody marvelous. Its going to be a shame when I acctully get a job and have take things seriously.
